Overview

The SAVP of Portfolio and Program Management is a leadership role in the Global Products and Platforms organization responsible for leading the strategy, design, rollout and adoption of the portfolio and program management process across the Global Products and Platform organization. Other direct responsibilities include hands-on involvement in technology service delivery in various capacities such as establishing and setting up new projects or programs, hiring into those programs, jumping in and troubleshooting struggling projects, and participating as a steering leader in targeted internal or client delivery projects.

 

The position will operate in a matrix environment reporting directly to EXL’s Chief Technology Officer and participating as an active member in the Global Products and Platforms leadership team delivering EXL Solutions. The position starts as an individual contributor role working initially as an influencer in a center of excellence type model across product teams and businesses and will expect to build a team to match the strategy and demands of the PPO & PPM programs.  The position will require occasional domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in CTO leadership team driving product and platform development and delivery
  • Develops the PPO strategy and formalizes the portfolio management planning, governance and reporting process across the global products and platforms organization
  • Acts as the program management Center of Excellence leader in standardizing the program management function within teams
  • Assists in organization content creation, evangelization, thought leadership for the organization both internally and externally
  • Lead and coordinate the multi-year technology roadmap, strategy, budget and resource planning cycle across each year.
  • Instills a culture innovation and of shared responsibility for the full product domain and across all the functional teams
  • Provides hands-on involvement in delivery projects as needed from initiating and setting up new programs to troubleshooting problem projects to providing steering and governance oversight

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B. Tech preferred), MBA desired

  • 10+ years’ experience in product management, development or software delivery of multiple products in a B2b or B2C model
  • Passionate about business results, with a strong sense of execution, accountability, metrics and ownership. - Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently at the C-level to build meaningful internal and external relationships in business organizations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of software product development life cycles
  • Experience in Agile SDLC 
  • Experience in planning and coordinating product roadmaps, investment plans and facilitating negotiations of priorities and tradeoffs of a product portfolio
