Responsibilities

Looking for a BI Developer (QlikView/Tableau/Power BI) with 5+ years of experience. As the lead member of the reporting delivery team, the Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards. Working with cross-functional teams, you will participate in gathering reporting requirements, and coordinate with Business Analysts to document and catalog all necessary requirements and artifacts. Using your skills and experience as a BI Developer, you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s) with required BI technologies. Participate in some business analysis activities to gather necessary reporting and dashboard requirements.

  • Work with Business and Risk Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources
  • Create and execute Unit/Integration testing
  • Where feasible transition developed reports and dashboards to the offshore teams
  • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users
  • Liaise with Technology and Data Management teams to ensure proper configuration management and change controls for the various Production and Pre-Production environments.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
  • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of ad hoc reports where applicable
  • Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
  • Must be able to articulate solutions / recommendations on complex issues within your area of expertise

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of BI Reporting Tools experience (QlikView/Tableau/Power BI) developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards

  • Knowledge of more than one BI tool would be plus

  • Flexibility to learn new tools as per requirement

  • Experience in extracting/cleaning/integrating data for reporting through SAS/SQL

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable

  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)

  • Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred

  • Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required

  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures

  • Excellent analytical ability, communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical staff
