Responsibilities

CONSULTANT

Purpose: To ensure the development of effective business solutions on Technology projects working tightly with business leaders, as well as leading small workstreams using project management best practices.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Development of Process and Requirements Definition
    • Facilitate joint requirement development sessions,
    • Document current state and target state business processes
    • Document detailed business requirements, user stories, use cases, wireframes etc.
    • Ensure adherence of the requirements to scope and business objective
    • Identify and Mitigate requirement gaps.
  2. Drive Functional Design
    • Facilitate joint application development/function design sessions
    • Document current state and target state system processes
    • Document detailed functional requirements and system use cases
    • Liaisons between business and technical teams to come up with effective solution options
  3. Validate requirements throughout the initiative, ensuring that effort remains in scope and there is a clear business case around decisions related to the requirements.
  4. Present findings and updates (demos, etc.) to working-level client teams and help develop communications for senior management
  5. Coordinates with 3rd party suppliers to identify and address any process and technology integration dependencies during build, validation and deployment
  6. Manage Business Requirement change through the project lifecycle

      7. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in project deliver inline with standards, architectures, and governance. Proactively contribute to and support a Community of Practice

 

8.Pro-actively demonstrate required behaviors in line with expectations of the role

 

9. Project manage using either agile or waterfall techniques work streams within a larger program, delivering a solution that is aligned to client expectations – while being on time and on budget

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Candidates with BA/BS degrees from the top tier academic institutions are preferred, BS or BA is required
  • 3-4 years of consulting related to technology implementations preferred, unless candidate has a Master’s degree, then 2 years of experience is acceptable
  • Strong record of achievement, solid analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
  • Outstanding communications skills
  • Experience working in Insurance required.  Life and Annuities is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading small projects or programs using agile and hybrid/waterfall techniques. Certifications in project management is a plus.
