The Finance Transformation team within EXL Consulting practice is a world class, global professional services group dedicated to helping CFO’s develop and execute winning strategies and to drive improvements in effectiveness across the Finance organization.


We are hiring a seasoned Project Manager (PM) with Sungard Quantum experience in the Greater New York City area. 


The successful candidate will have  1-2 years of experience with full implementation cycle of experience with FIS Sunguard Treasury Management System


This position reports to the Engagement Director. This person will lead service delivery for medium to large teams engaged in finance system implementation engagements for global clients in the Life Sciences vertical.


Successful candidates will also have F&A / Treasury experience and will have been a part of transformation initiatives such as:


  • Implementing new systems,
  • ERP/ GL, setting up shared services,
  • Exposure to key F&A processes specifically around FIS SunGuard Treasury Management Systems


  • Responsible for achieving defined financial targets, revenue forecasting and project planning involving multiple implementation sites and products.
  • Responsible for the coordination of activities across multiple product lines including the coordination of any implementation, technical, development, account management and support related personnel ensuring a unified and integrated solution is ultimately delivered.
  • Responsible for the creation of a supportive, team atmosphere ensuring that all team members from various products act in the broader interest of the customer.
  • Responsible for managing consultant’s performance on your assigned projects, providing and speaking to product specific functionality, providing treasury and payments domain expertise where needed and to a lesser extent support and mitigate the risk of any process re-engineering within your managed projects.
  • This role will also requires the ability to scope the timing, financial and functional requirements of global projects via Statement of Work and Project Plan based documentation.
  • You will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the project plan in coordination with your assigned clients and keeping management apprised of the project status.
  • Closely monitor and mitigate projects risks as they are identified via avenues such as change management and executive level steering committee meetings.
  • Manage the client relationship and expectations while developing relationships at a senior level.
  • Responsible for creating weekly status documents including milestone, budgeting, action item and consultant scheduling information while keeping frequent communication with your customers through regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Responsible for reviewing and adhering to client's contract including strict adherence to the change management policies outlined in a Statement of Work and documenting client requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are being followed with regards to billing, travel and expenses.


  • Have at least 5 years of relevant work experience within the Life sciences industry with at least 3 years business, product, technology or related experience.
  • 1-2 year of experience with full implementation cycle of experience with FIS Sunguard Treasury Management System
  • Proven experience in Project Management required with certification strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of treasury and payments industries is mandatory. Supervisory experience required.
  • Requires excellent presentation and communication skills and requires extensive travel.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply process improvement and standardization, analytical and digital approaches to create meaningful and measurable business impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to conduct workshops at all levels within the client organization
  • Ability to anticipate & address client concerns & develop excellent client & internal relationships
  • Strong service delivery and quality orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High level of self-confidence, strong people and client management and leadership skills
