Overview

The Finance Transformation team within EXL Consulting practice is a world class, global professional services group dedicated to helping CFO’s develop and execute winning strategies and to drive improvements in effectiveness across the Finance organization.

 

We are hiring Jr. Associates in the Dallas,TX area with a focus on Business Analysis reporting to the Engagement Manager. The Jr. Associate Business Analysts will be a part of the service delivery team for medium to large teams engaged in finance transformation projects for global clients. 

 

Candidates must have some exposure to UAT F&A system implementations and business requirement documents (BRD)

 

Please note: This is a temporary role, around 6 - 9 months in length, based in Dallas with possibility of a perm opportunity at the end that may require relo to the NYC area if a perm opportunity is presented at the end of the temporary engagement. 

Responsibilities

The Jr. Associate Business Analysts on the EXL Finance Transformation Consulting team will be at client locations onsite / offsite and will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Create and review business requirement documentation (BRDs) of respective Order to Cash functions (OTC- Billing, corrections, cash applications, collections and dispute management)
  • Analyze T accounts and General Ledger impacts of various transactions taking place in client ERP
  • Analyze financial reports, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting for reserves, revenues and assets
  • Analyze data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed
  • Create detailed accounting requirement documents through interacting with various stakeholders 
  • Perform accounting User Acceptance Testing by developing scenarios and documenting test results
  • Work as part of a team at client site and take ownership of assigned financial analysis tasks 
  • Understand client business and learn client processes 
  • Maintain and expand client relationships through delivery of high quality work

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analysis role required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a leading academic institution 
  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral to various audiences 
  • Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong MS Excel skills required
  • Previous participation in User Acceptance Testing at client a plus
  • Experience with Oracle and with Transportation and Logistics (LTL) industry a plus
