    The LifePRO division of EXL is a team dedicated to the development and implementation of the EXL LifePRO insurance administration system for Life, Health and Annuity Business. LifePRO streamlines policy administration for insurance companies through features such as a flexible product engine, real-time customer service and extensive agent compensation support.

    Responsibilities

    Basic Function

    Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for learning the product in order to write test cases, participate in testing functionality, create test plans, and test strategy. They must also ensure the alignment of the product with expected client deliverables.

    Essential Functions

    • Knowledge of software development life cycle and software testing life cycle
    • Create test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and test strategy documents. Ability to read specification/requirements document and create test cases, test plans for any changes to the product.
    • Ability to work on production defects as needed.
    • Participate in client discussions, conduct demos with the client group, support User Acceptance testing
    • Creates sign off notes, release notes test matrices, defect reports
    • Able to actively work with several teams both collocated and dispersed for successful test case design and execution.
    • Participate in regression testing activities, create regression test plans and test cases
    • Well versed in quality metrics and testing to apply different methods in assessing impact. Able to read and understand various quality metrics standards for test case creation, execution, and defect reporting. Able to analyze defect metrics, participate in quality process improvement. Expertise in Root causes Analysis for process improvement.
    • Mentor other QA in their role Participate and lead portions of training workshops for junior QA resources
    • Lead small projects with 2-3 junior QA members
    • Create project status reports, assist with testing estimation (testing phase), conduct UAT sessions with client groups, participate in testing workshops with clients on a need basis

    Responsibilities:

    • Will be responsible to test case design, execution, and test management
    • Will be responsible for testing effort estimation, defect management in JIRA, and release testing.
    • Will be responsible for creating and maintaining testing artefacts for projects and production defects
    • Will be responsible to creating testing related job aids, training documents, mentoring other QA analysts.

    Qualifications

    • Strong background in the insurance software and policy administration is required
    • 10-15 years of experience in testing policy administration system is required
    • Manual testing expertise required
    • Experience in working with JIRA for defect management
    • Basic understanding SQL is preferred
    • Experience with Waterfall development cycle is required
    • Experience with Agile methodology is preferred
    • Experience with Test Management tools such as Test Rail, XRAY is preferred.
    • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, REST API automation preferred.
    • Experience with Windows Operating systems
