The Database Operations Manager plays a critical role in maintaining client satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring exceptional service and value for clients utilizing RPM’s database marketing services and products. 


In this position you will be responsible for building relationships with both internal and external clients and serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day service delivery, as it will cover primary roles - account management, business analysis, and campaign production management:

  • Account management: Collaborate with clients, vendors, decision analysts, marketing strategists, and print production managers to gather requirements for marketing campaigns;  maintain status logs, schedule and moderate team meetings – client and internal; Trouble shoot and monitor client and vendor issues; Maintain usage reports to ensure proper billing/invoicing. 
  • Business analysis – Liaison with campaign management & ETL staff to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns; Translate project requirements into technical specifications; Develop quality control procedures, project plans and test designs for adhoc data processing projects and monthly direct marketing campaigns; and facilitate match merge processing and reporting.

Campaign production management – ensure monthly direct mail campaigns are executed on time and with quality through review of audits at each stage in the campaign process from input to output; Monitor operational alerts/QC reports to ensure daily and monthly campaigns and file loads are completed accurately and SLAs are met.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate technical concepts, solution design ideas, issues and best practices to technical and business audiences.
  • Strong background in marketing databases and related technologies with knowledge of SQL, marketing campaign tools and ETL tools.
  • Strong project management skills required.
  • Superior attention to detail with highly effective organizational and analytical skills. Comfortable with data, response metrics and trends.
  • Effective problem solving skills - analyze problems and produce a viable solution
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and with changing priorities. Dedicated to creating high quality requirements.
  • Understanding of privacy issues and regulatory compliance in the Financial Services space.
  • Excellent PC skills especially Excel Pivot tables and other Microsoft Office products.
