    The Finance Transformation team within EXL Consulting practice is a world class, global professional services group dedicated to helping CFO’s develop and execute winning strategies and to drive improvements in effectiveness across the Finance organization.

     

    We are hiring a Process Improvement and Automation Specialist to join our Consulting Practice in the New York/New Jersey area with a focus on Business Analysis reporting in to the Client Engagement Manager.

     

    The incumbent will be a part of the service delivery team for medium to large teams engaged in Finance Transformation projects for global clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand and apply knowledge of various financial products and regulatory requirements
    • Assess the existing business processes, identify/ gather existing procedures and create end to end process maps using various process modeling tools
    • Identify stakeholders and manage end to end execution and communication (including project planning, client interviews, business reviews, approvals etc.) with multiple stakeholders
    • Conduct SME walkthroughs and/or interviews to understand, map and validate processes
    • Collaborate with the Risk & Compliance Units to list and categorize all the pre-defined policies, risks and controls and map them to the relevant process steps
    • Identify the potential process improvement and transformation opportunities
    • Deliver comprehensive process maps outlining all components e.g. risks, controls, policies, regulations and opportunities
    • Participates in the collection and interpretation of business requirements, and participates in the development and review of processes and procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting.
    • Develops and maintains of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.
    • Independently obtains and identifies the business requirements needed to carry out and improve applicable business processes.
    • Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs.
    • Drives the development, analysis and distribution of relevant reporting.

    Qualifications

    • 3-6 years of relevant current experience in process modeling and documentation
    • Prior experience in the Banking Industry either directly or any other reputed professional services firm is a must
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration
    • MBA or any certification such as CPA , CMA , CFA is a plus

     

    Skills required:

    • Knowledge and experience of various financial products and product lifecycle
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Competency with spreadsheets, word processing and database software and business systems (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Competency with process modelling tools (MS Visio, IBM BlueWorks etc.) and BPM notations
    • Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
    • Strong analytical acumen and problem solving skills
    • Team player and goal oriented
    • Proven ability to lead projects and engage with senior management
