    The role entails being a Quality Analyst at client locations onsite / offsite and be responsible for the following areas:

    • Perform planning, execution, and reporting of user acceptance testing activities to ensure that the results of a complex enterprise software development using a combination of Agile & iterative methodologies to determine that the functional requirements are met and if the resulting product has met and can support day-to-day business needs
    • Identify, assess, and document business needs and requirements.
    • Must be able to quickly establish credibility while working in new subject area
    • Drive toward on-time, quality deliverables in a complex and dynamic business environment, while actively managing stakeholder expectations.
    • Articulate requirements to technical and business groups in a variety of ways, including via Functional & Technical specifications documentation, BRDs, logical diagrams, use cases, and data samples
    • Conduct requirements reviews to improve the quality of requirements deliverables
    • Hands on HP ALM (QC) and Solution Manager Applications in project management and monitoring areas.
    • Ramp up quickly to a proficient level on new processes, tools and technologies.
    • Good understanding of risk and issues that would be encountered during major IT programs and projects and Conduct risk analysis, preparing risk mitigation plans and managing risks.
    • Develop specs for application rules that will auto-trigger specific reports based on business needs
    • Determine where data for various custom reports will be sourced from within the application
    • Hold and lead meetings with  IT, Business and vendor teams to review requirements, address open issues/questions, close gaps
    • Engage in prioritization and problem-solving with technical resources in order to deliver robust solutions as quickly as possible
    • Represent business interests and ensure that all technical designs meet or exceed business needs


    Education & Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's in IT or related fields with MBA (preferred)
    • 5+ years experience as a business analyst in Insurance sector is preferred
    • QA and UAT
    • Automated and Manual testing
    • Writing test scripts, coordination with business users for UAT testing, Functional testing

    Skills Required:


    Besides QA / UAT experience, other general skills need to include strong data collection/analysis, data synthesis and reporting, and some process re-engineering.  Preference with background/experience in Commercial insurance. Experience in Change management, distribution, and technology strategy.

    • Strong understanding of SDLC Methodologies, including Agile, Lean Six Sigma (will be a plus)
    • Expert level skill set with Excel, MS Word and MS Access (preferably)
    • A good understanding of risk and issues that would be encountered during major IT program and projects
    • Ability to use a structured approach to problem solving and addressing the change produced high quality deliverables and managed the deliverables of the associates
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and first rate interpersonal skills at all levels
    • Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships
    • Ability to deliver work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high quality
    • Excellent team player but also excelling in working on own initiative
    • Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) (preferred)
