  • Overview

    The following position for a Loss Control Consultant, working for the Overland Solutions Survey Division will be a remote position responsible for nationwide coverage.



    Entry to intermediate level position in which employee’s responsibilities focus on reviewing and analyzing the insured’s business or organization in a manner that is consistent with company policies, procedures, and standards.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Performs telephone surveys of insured’s business or organization to assess, evaluate, and document risk exposures.
    • Reviews survey assignments and manages inventory to schedule and maintain time service and production standards of the branch.
    • Prepares electronic reports containing all information required by the carrier and in compliance with the branch SOP.
    • Completes all progress reports in compliance with OSI SOP standards and other reports as required.
    • Transmits survey reports for quality review.
    • Responsible for completing all progress reports in compliance with OSI SOP standards.
    • Communicates with manager to inform verbally or in writing all activities and problems within assigned area of responsibility and refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to Manager for directions.


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


    •  Must have basic working knowledge of industry and OSI standard operating procedures, use and application of information contained in reference manuals, code books, government, and CCI-ISO regulations, and the business relationships among the carrier, insured, agent-broker and OSI.

    •  Must have basic working knowledge of various carriers’ policy provisions, underwriting standards, documentation practices, and reporting requirements.

    • Must have basic knowledge in use of computer equipment, software, and general office equipment.

    • Have the ability to multitask and handle time sensitive urgencies.

    • Have the ability to evaluate information contained in reports and determine if the information satisfies procedures, policies, and requirements.
