Role Title: Vice President – Finance International

The Vice President – Finance International role is a critical finance leadership role responsible for reviewing and overseeing the finance operations of EXL’s International business from a compliance and reporting perspective. In this role, s/he will participate in developing financial and reporting processes for the International Business and actively working/supporting the International Leader on day-to-day decision-making activities. The FINTL will collaborate closely with operations leadership and cross-functional teams to enable growth and strategic initiatives for these geos. To excel in this position, the successful candidate must have exceptional functional and compliance expertise in accounting and finance, business partnering, strategy development, leadership and management skills, and a deep understanding of a service-oriented organization.

 

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Be the face of the finance function for the International Business in Ireland, reporting locally to the International Business Leader.
  • Partnering with geography heads and business leaders to support growth, costs management and execution of annual financial goals.
  • Manage financial reporting, reviews, and data analysis to provide data insights for faster decision-making.
  • Liaising with local auditors and advisors as necessary.
  • Manage legal entity financials, compliances with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards, as well as the company's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure smooth finance operations, effective internal controls and support group reporting.
  • Manage global inter-company transactions and ensure compliance to Transfer Pricing (TP) policies.
  • Manage cash flows and liquidity positions in collaboration with the central treasury function.
  • Lead and manage a team of diverse finance professionals in multiple countries, as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance, drive Finance Team employee engagement and conduct team performance evaluations.
  • Assist in maximizing financial incentives provided by the local government.
  • Provide financial analysis to support expansion of operations of the company through organic & inorganic growth.
  • Participate in International Leaders’ regular leadership committee and other forums.
  • Contribute to M&A due diligence activities and integrations with global leadership.
  • Collaborate with other finance departments, including FP&A, Procurement, SFO, Tax, and other enabling areas including HR, Legal to provide finance leadership and support.
  • Contribute to global transformation & automation projects and strategic initiatives and assist in successful implementation.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and benchmark the finance delivery function against competitors and peers and drive process improvements as required.

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of local & US GAAP’s, IFRS etc. a must.
  • Additional certification as a ACA/ACCA etc. preferred.
  • At least 15+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance in a global company with operations and data and analytics, service delivery or operations, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role
  • Proven record of accomplishment for leading a finance function, including liaising with global leadership and operating teams globally to develop and implement a strategic business management plan.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders in a globally matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues and challenges.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business, and internal/external stakeholders & consultants.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering results.
  • Prior experience in Project Management & Automation Initiatives are welcome.
  • Knowledge of any data analytics tool like Power BI is a plus.
